NEW Swarovski/Disney Ltd Editions COMING SOON!

Crystal Fanatics and Disney Fans alike are looking forward to the Introduction of the NEW Swarovski/Disney Ltd Editions, to be issued in March, 2011.  Peter Pan, Tinkerbelle, and a Star-shaped Title Plaque will be added to the Collection. Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle both feature accents in Olivine green crystal.

Other Swarovski/Disney limited edition crystal figurines have included the Swarovski Tinkerbelle in 2008, (this is a highly sought after piece on the Secondary Market), Mickey Sorcerer in 2009, Pinocchio in 2010, & the most recent addition, the 2011 Dumbo.
Tinkerbelle & the Dumbo's are Swarovski 'repeat' issues.
Other Dumbo's were produced in collaboration with the Arribas Bros. stores in 1987-1990 & again in 1993.

Crystal Fanatics are awaiting the newest introductions to the LovLots Collection - the Circus!
The Circus includes Benny Bunny, Jasmine Dancing Horse, Leo Lion, Rolly Monkey, Rosalie Dancing Horse, Toby and Tony Elephant. The Jade Dancing Horse will be the Lovlots special limited edition in 2011.  Colors vary from very vibrant to softer coloring.

The Swarovski Lovlots Circus Collection is the 4th series of Lovlots figurines.
Previous series include the Lovlots Gang of Dogs introduced in 2008, the House of Cats introduced in 2009, City Park in 2010, the ever-popular Mo's issued yearly since 2007, and the Pioneer Collection first issued in 2006. Various pieces in each collection are now retired.

Another Swarovski Ltd Edition Mo in Lovlots Collection Coming Soon!

The newest Swarovski limited edition figurine for 2011 in the Swarovski 'Lovlots' Collection should now be available, issued in celebration the 5th Anniversary of the Swarovski Lovlots collection.   Retail price on the 2011 limited edition Mo is $245. Photos of All the Mo's in our CFC Photo Gallery.

Actually, Swarovski has gone Mo-crazy!
The first Ltd Edition Mo was issued in 2007, Pinky Mo a fully faceted pink crystal cow with unfaceted bell and horns; eyes in Jet Hematite crystal, now Retired.

Pinky Mo Alabaster
Ltd Ed. of 300
Never sold to the public and 'given' to Journalists at Swarovski press / media events.
Body in matte Rose Alabaster, horns and bell in faceted Rosaline Crystal, eyes are Jet Hematite. Issued in 2007

Soccer Mo was introduced and retired in 2008.
A Lovlots cow in Siam Red crystal with White Alabaster crystal horns, wearing a soccer ball around its neck.

Flower Mo
Floral print in rose, white, yellow and green on fully faceted Light Peridot crystal body. Horns and bell are White Opal crystal. This Limited Edition was available online only.  Issued and Retired in 2009.

Halloween Mo
Created in Red Topaz crystal with Jet crystal highlights, it was a limited one-time production and only available from October 1 until Halloween, 2009.

Belle Mo, issued in 2010, larger than the other Mo's, with body, head and ears in fully faceted Lavender crystal. Horns in Medium Sapphire crystal, bell in White Opal crystal; her eyes are in Jet Hematite crystal, and a flower print is in shades of blue on both sides of the body.

Also issued in 2010, the Ltd Edition Country Mo's, the first pair of cows
in clear crystal with brown and black print respectively. The brown cow has Light Smoked Topaz crystal horns and Jet Nut eyes, while the black cow has Jet horns and Jet Hematite eyes. Both wear a little Crystal Aurum bell. Another One-time production that was only exclusively available at Swarovski online while stocks lasted.

Glamour Mo's
The first pair of female & male Mo's.
Female Mo is in Platinum White Desert Glow crystal, wearing a pearl necklace highlighted with a Golden Shadow crystal bead.
Male Mo in Jet Hematite crystal with a Chrome crystal bow tie.
2010 year of production is located on the bottom of each piece.
Retired in 2010.

Additionally, there are a few 'prototypes' out there too. One that we know of is Golden MO

and it is an EXTREMELY RARE Prototype - there might be no more than 3 pieces available worldwide and it left
the Swarovski factory in error (in other words, someone took it out the back door). It was Never Issued to the public and it was produced during the 2007/2008 timeframe. One of our very own lucky Crystal Fanatics has this in their collection!

It's Christmas Time! Here's some information about the Swarovski AE Ornaments

Swarovski is well-known to Collectors for their Annual Limited Edition Christmas Ornaments, available during the year of issue and then retired, and no longer available, except on the Secondary Market. This has made some of the earliest issues much sought after by Collectors, and in some cases, quite expensive.

The first Annual Ltd. Edition Ornament was issued by Swarovski in 1981. There are earlier issues, but they are not considered among the Ltd Edition series. The 1981 edition is the only one to carry the old SC block logo and came with a chain so that it could also be worn as a necklace. It was only issued in the U.S.

More ornies have been found that were issued between 1981 and 1984 (ie., the 1984 ornie known as the Fleur de Lis), but they are also not considered Annual Ltd Editions.

In 1986, Swarovski issued 11 ornies from Giftware Suite, in the U.S. only, known as "Holiday Etchings" in several different sizes and shapes, with 1986 engraved on the crystal. But, others have also been found that are similar, without the 1986 engraving.

Giftware Suite issued the 1987-1990 Ltd Edition Ornies in the U.S. Only.

In 1991, the so-called 'stars' began being issued in the U.S. and Europe. There were 2 issues for each region, in 1991 - one with a silver metal hanger and one with a gold metal hanger, and they are highly sought after. In 1992, Swarovski began alternating yearly what is known as the 'Snowflake' design and the 'Star' design, and they have been issued each year ever since. In '93 and '94, they were issued by Swarovski's New Crystal Concepts Division. There are no logos on any of the Christmas Ornies (except the '81) until the 1995 ornie , issued by D. Swarovski with the first swan logo. Thereafter, each ornie is marked with the same logo.

In 2003, Swarovski began issuing what is known as the "Small Star" ornies, and one has been issued as a yearly Ltd Ed. ever since.

In 1996, Swarovski issued their Ltd Ed. "Angels" from their Crystal Memories collection, now known as "Christmas Memories".

There are a multitude of other "Christmas Memories" Ornies (Bells, Holly, Wreath, etc., formerly known as Crystal Memories) from what is now known as the "Ornaments" and "Christmas at Home" collections that are not considered Ltd. Editions, but are highly collectible, and also issued yearly.

In 1993, Swarovski issued the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Topper in Chrome and Gold. Another was added in 2006, along with a lot of other Rockefeller Christmas items, in commemoration of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Celebration in New York City each year. A Magnificent Swarovski Star sits on top of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree yearly.

And, as if all these issues aren't enough, Swarovski began issuing the 'Kris Bear Ornament' as an Annual Ltd Ed., beginning in 2005.

Thought they were done? LOL. In 2009, the Golden Shadow AE Ornaments were introduced for SCS members only. It's an exact duplicate of the clear crystal AE's, so now we have to buy TWO AE Ornies! Smart marketing! We're hoping other colors will be used soon.

Other companies, such as Marshall Fields, Cadillac (in 1996 & '97), and Macy's have also issued Ltd Edition Christmas ornaments, made entirely with Swarovski Crystal.

In 2006, Swarovski introduced the LovLots Collection with figurines consisting of small crystal animals; camels, cats, dogs, etc.

In 2006, the Limited Editions were introduced, beginning with Shady, the black sheep at a list price of $35.00. Shady is now worth $195.00!

Pinky Mo, a pink crystal cow limited edition was introduced in 2007.
In the same year a very limited edition of 300 was issued, to the media/journalists, but never sold to the public, a pink Alabaster Mo. This will be a highly sought after piece and will undoubtedly go up in value. The body is in matte Rose Alabaster, horns and bell in Rosaline Crystal.

Then, in 2008, a collection of colored crystal dogs was introduced.
In 2008, another limitd edition cow (Mo) in Siam Red crystal with White Alabaster crystal horns, and a soccer ball around its neck, was introduced. Also in the same year, another limited edition, Violetta, a Faceted Violet Crystal Poodle with neck and tail in faceted clear crystal became available. Limited editions are 'limited' to the year of issue. Both pieces originally sold for for $75, now worth $125.00.

In 2009, Swarovski introduced the House of Cats (shown), in colored crystal. Then, yet another Mo. Flower Mo flaunts an exclusive floral print in rose, white, yellow and green presented on her fully faceted Light Peridot crystal body. Her horns and bell feature White Opal crystal. She could only be ordered on the Swarovski site.

Yet another Mo is scheduled to be released during October 2009 only. Can You Guess What it will be?

2008 BREAKING SWAROVSKI NEWS!

The Crystal Fanatics Club (CFC) just announced the 2008 Numbered Limited Edition (NLE)
on its website dedicated to Collectors of Swarovski Crystal.

The NEW NLE, we are told, will be released in October, 2008 and will be the same size as the last NLE, The Elephant!
